A body covered with nothing but underwear was found near railroad tracks on Piedmont Road, not far from I-85 in Atlanta.

“We have located a deceased person near the railroad near that location,” Atlanta police Officer Kim Jones said.

Officials have not identified the person yet, but a witness said the person was a man.

Sophia Brauer, a homeless woman who stays at a nearby camp, said seeing the body was disturbing.

“A normal person wouldn’t want to see a dead body like that,” Brauer said. “He was not recognizable at all.”

Other people who stay at the camp said they did not hear a fight or any screams for help before the body was discovered.
