A man’s body was discovered Wednesday in a shuttered Jonesboro fitness center, police said.

Police found the body of a 35- to 45-year-old man Wednesday just after noon inside the now-defunct Hoops and Fitness athletic center on Tara Boulevard near Fayette Avenue, authorities said.

The man has not been identified, and it is unclear how or when the man died.

Investigators are on the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
