Three Athens men face nearly 60 felonies in connection with several January armed robberies and vehicle break-ins, police said.
Terique Travion Eberhart, 20, Raydreone Keshad Howard, 19, and Tyreek Amin Thomas, 20, were arrested within a week of each other in January, Athens police said in a news release.
The trio is accused of two armed robberies in the early morning of Jan. 8, which included robbing a Golden Pantry convenience store and the Choo Choo restaurant in east Athens, the release said. They also allegedly stole a vehicle at a nearby apartment complex.
Eberhart and Howard are also charged in connection with more than a dozen entering auto incidents later that night and in the early morning of Jan. 24 and 25, the release said. The latter incidents took place in the area of Cedar Shoals Drive and Barrington Drive.
Thomas is also accused of committing an armed robbery at Murphy’s Express convenience store Jan. 3, the release said.
Police are still trying to determine if they’re connected to similar incidents that happened during that time frame, the release said.
All three face three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of armed robbery and one count of motor vehicle theft, according to Clarke County Jail records.
Eberhart and Howard also face 19 counts of felony entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft. Howard faces an additional misdemeanor charge of obstruction, and Thomas faces another count of aggravated assault, armed robbery and a count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
In total, the trio faces 58 felonies. They all remain in jail without bond, as of Wednesday afternoon.
