Two suspected child molesters sought by police are considered armed and extremely dangerous, authorities said Wednesday.
The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force is assisting Conyers and Newton County police in the search for Donald Mac Brown, 34, and David Wesley Crawford, 57.
Brown is also wanted for the sexual exploitation of children. He has said he will not go back to jail, said U.S. Marshals in a press release.
Both men are thought to be armed with guns and knives and hiding in the woods of Newton County, located about 30 miles east of Atlanta.
The men are believed to be using a white 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck with Georgia tag BZX9023.
Brown is described as being a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 245 pounds. Crawford is a white male with blue eyes, predominantly bald, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 135 pounds.
Police did not release details on their alleged crimes or say when they occurred.
Members of the public should not make contact with the suspects, police said, but are asked to report any sightings or information regarding them to either Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477 or to the SERFTF at 770-508-2500.
