It sounds like a crazy plan. But one man has gotten away with it, so far.

First, the unidentified man swiped two iPhone 6’s from the AT&T store on Hudson Bridge Road in Stockbridge, Henry County police said Thursday.

Then, three hours later, the same man returned to the store. But this time, he was wearing different clothes.

He ditched his ball cap and put on eyeglasses, surveillance images show. And instead of two white shirts, he returned to the store wearing a dark Puma sweatshirt with a red T-shirt underneath, pictures showed.

When he returned to the store, the man returned the phones — the same ones he had stolen, according to police. The crimes happened about three weeks ago. No information was released on whether the man got any cash out of his scam.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Rosser with Henry police at 770-288-8494.
