Chattahoochee Tech administrator is finalist for Kentucky post
The vice president of student affairs and technology advancement at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta is one of three finalists to be interviewed next week to become the next president of Owensboro Community and Technical College.
William Rule is one of three candidates scheduled for on-campus visits for the Kentucky school Wednesday and Thursday.
In addition to the campus visits and interviews, the candidates will also meet with the public during community forums, according to an Associated Press report from a Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) news release.
The other candidates are Larry Ferguson, vice chancellor of economic development and workforce solutions and interim vice chancellor of academic affairs for KCTCS, and Scott Williams, vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer at the Owensboro college.
Owensboro Community & Technical College, a public, two-year, open admissions college, is one of the sixteen colleges that make up the Kentucky Community & Technical College System, according to the school’s wedsite.
Chattahoochee Technical College is comprised of eight campuses that serve a six-county area in beautiful North Georgia: Bartow, Cherokee, Cobb, Gilmer, Paulding, Pickens.
Chattahoochee Technical College came into being in 2009 from the merger of three previously independent units of the Technical College System of Georgia – Appalachian Technical College, Chattahoochee Technical College, and North Metro Technical College, according to the school's website.
