One woman was killed Saturday morning when a wood cabin caught fire in northeast Georgia, authorities said.

Crews were dispatched to the fire in the 600 block of Yonah Post Road in Alto about 6:45 a.m., Habersham County Emergency Services Director Chad Black said.

Inside, authorities discovered the woman’s body. Her identity has not been released.

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze along with the GBI and the Georgia Insurance Commissioner’s criminal investigations unit, deputies said.
