A woman was shot to death and two other people were injured during an attack at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex, officials said.

Two armed men reportedly attacked the three victims during a home invasion at the Vista Adams Apartments, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Atlanta police were sent to the complex in the 1900 block of Delowe Drive about 6 a.m. Wednesday after someone reported that a person had been shot, police spokesman James White said. When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot in the head, White said. She was taken to a hospital, but did not survive.

Investigators determined that the armed men forced everyone into the apartment where the shooting took place, Atlanta police spokeswoman Lt. Andrea Webster told Channel 2.

A woman and man both had non-life-threatening injuries related to the same incident, White said. One of those was pistol-whipped, Channel 2 reported.
