A man has been arrested after he filmed a minor changing clothes in his Hall County apartment, officials said.

Travis McCullough, 48, of Oakwood, is in the Hall County Detention Center on charges of criminal attempt to commit sexual exploitation of a child, invasion of privacy and sexual exploitation of a child.

Oakwood police received a complaint in September about McCullough possibly taking inappropriate photos of a child and obtained search warrants for his Google accounts and his Creekside on Mundy Mill apartment, Oakwood police Investigator Todd Templeton said.

He was arrested on a charge of tampering with evidence because he allegedly deleted digital evidence as investigators knocked on his door, Templeton said.

Investigators said they then discovered McCullough used a hidden cellphone to record the child changing clothes on two occasions between July and August. The minor’s age was not released.

“Investigators also discovered two other videos that depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct,” Templeton said. “While McCullough did record the video of the juvenile changing, it is not believed that McCullough recorded the video footage of the minors engaged in the sexually explicit conduct. He did, however, possess that video, which is also a violation of law.”

He was arrested Tuesday on the additional charges: two counts of invasion of privacy, two counts of criminal attempt to commit sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Anyone with additional information about McCullough is asked to call 770-534-2364.
