Clayton County middle school evacuated

A Clayton County middle school was evacuated Friday afternoon when smoke was reported coming from a heating and air conditioning unit, fire officials said.

Pointe South Middle School was evacuated as a precaution when the smoke was reported, Clayton County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Walter Barber said.
