A tropical storm off the east coast will bring tropical air (without the benefit of rain, which we could use) our way this weekend.

“It’s not terrible today,” she said, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Ashley Kramlich.

But looking ahead there’s “dangerous heat possible throughout our weekend.”

After a high in the low 90s today, temperatures creep into the upper 90s by Sunday, with a triple-digit heat index, Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said. The tropical impact looks to make that a sticky, uncomfortable day.

“You need to be taking it slow,” Kramlich said. “You need to be staying hydrated.”
