Athens inmate located

A manhunt for an escaped Athens prisoner has ended, police said.

The prisoner, who was jailed on robbery charges, walked off a work detail, Athens-Clarke County police said Wednesday morning. He was in the area of Newton Bridge Road and Paradise Boulevard.

Police have not identified the inmate, and details about his escape and capture were not available.
