A third person has been charged with the November shooting death of a 22-year-old father, Atlanta police said Monday night.

Juan Derrick Hines, 20, was arrested and charged with with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony for the death of Sammy Gantt, according to Officer John Chafee with Atlanta police.

Gantt, of Atlanta, was found with a gunshot wound to the chest after 3 a.m. Nov. 2 in the 400 block of Norfolk Street in northwest Atlanta, police previously said. He died at Grady Memorial Hospital. Investigators believe the shooting likely occurred in the 500 block of Norfolk Street after an argument.

Hines is the third suspect arrested in connection with Gantt’s death. His mugshot was unavailable late Monday.

On Dec. 6, U.S. Marshals located Detaves Lee Johnson, 24, in northwest Atlanta and charged him with murder, according to police. Then on Feb. 5, Alonzo Ross was arrested, police said. Both Johnson and Ross remained Monday night in the Fulton County jail, where they were being held without bond.

Gantt is survived by a daughter, according to his online obituary.
