Two people were hurt in a crash involving two tractor-trailers in DeKalb County early Tuesday, officials said.

The collision was reported around 7 a.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Northbound lanes of I-285 were blocked for more than two hours.

DeKalb police said no other vehicles were involved.

Both big-rig drivers were hurt, including one whose injuries were serious. The other’s were minor, police spokesperson Blaine Clark said in a statement.

The scene was near the overpass for Rainbow Drive along the edge of the Panthersville area. It was just south of Exit 46 for I-20. One of the trucks was jackknifed in at least two lanes with debris scattered across the road, GDOT cameras showed.

Authorities began diverting traffic off the Perimeter at Flat Shoals Parkway around 8:30 a.m., according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. Lanes reopened by 9:15 a.m.
