One of Sandy Spring’s goals is to reduce the rate of fatal and injury crashes in the city. In a recent city council decision, Roswell approved a $160,000 contract with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. for the North End Roadway Safety Analysis Project.

This project will address an area with the highest concentrations of serious crashes - the North End - comprised of portions of Roswell Road, Northridge Road, and Dunwoody Place corridors.

Stantec will develop a prioritized list of viable safety project recommendations with high benefit/cost ratios which could be candidates for Highway Safety Improvement Program funding and/or other safety-related funding programs.

The city received eight proposals for the project. Based on scoring results, the evaluation committee invited the three top ranking firms, Stantec, Kimley-Horn and KCI Technologies, to interview. Following those interviews, the evaluation committee selected Stantec.
