Following a recent public hearing, the Alpharetta City Council approved a request from National Veterinary Associates for an “Animal Hospital, Small Animal” at 3100 Royal Blvd. South.

National Veterinary Associates is an emergency veterinary business primarily serving cats and dogs. The focus of the business will be veterinary medicine including preventative care and surgery. NVA partners with local veterinarians to help grow the business and network of veterinary hospitals.

The business operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but does not board animals. The applicant anticipates approximately 25 employees. Two pet relief areas are depicted on the site plan.

Approval came with conditions including boarding of animals is limited to short-term care incidental to hospital use. Pet relief areas must be similar to those depicted on the submitted site plan and must be screened from the street. Mobile resources supporting the business, like mobile MRI or X-ray, cannot be visible from North Point Parkway.
