The organization of the new police department in Stockbridge is continuing with the appointment of four members of the command staff.
A swearing-in ceremony took place Dec. 6 for the newly hired officers.
Glenn Kalish and Richard Godfrey will serve with a rank of commander, while Ron Momon and Anton Paton have been named lieutenant commanders.
These personnel moves come on the heels of the Sept. 20 appointment of Frank Trammer as the new department’s first police chief.
All four of the new officers have two decades or more of law enforcement experience, according to city officials.
A series of public meetings will be scheduled in the near future “highlighting city police engagement for community members,” the announcement noted.
