Hampton DDA agreement discussion postponed

Downtown Hampton.
The Hampton City Council decided at its Sept. 14 regular meeting to postpone discussion and potential action on a proposed intergovernmental agreement between the city and its Downtown Development Authority. The matter will instead be considered at the council’s special called meeting scheduled for Sept. 28, when the first reading of the budget will be considered. In other business, the council passed the first reading of an ordinance amendment regarding fees, rates and changes for electric meter installation and connection, specifically non-residential development. Also approved was a resolution putting an updated fee schedule in place to address non-residential development fees. Information: hamptonga.gov.
