Because One Matters, a Lawrenceville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting foster children and young adults, is hosting a Fitness Fun Day community fundraiser on Saturday to support Home for the Holidays.
The event will feature three sessions: 7 to 8 a.m., 9 to 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon at Candler Park, 1500 McLendon Ave NE in Atlanta.
Registration is $15 per person with 100% of proceeds going toward “Home for the Holidays,” an initiative that allows foster youth, who are participating in the Independent Living program through YESS4Youth, to experience Thanksgiving and Christmas in their home by providing full course meals and Christmas trees with decorations and gifts.
The event includes a moderate-level workout along with competitive challenges made up of teams who will compete against each other to win prizes.
