Hiring events set for Gwinnett residents interested in working voter polls

Citizens interested in the electoral process are invited to attend one of Gwinnett’s upcoming poll official hiring events. The Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections Division is looking for citizens of all backgrounds, but especially needs bilingual poll officials.

Poll officials will gain valuable work experience and training in preparation for the 2022 elections. Currently, positions pay up to a $350 stipend.

The hiring events are set for:

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 27 and 29 at Lenora Park, 4515 Lenora Church Road in Snellville

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 9 and 12 at Best Friend Park, 6224 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 29 and 30 at George Pierce Park, 55 Buford Highway in Suwanee

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Dec. 11, at Bogan Park, 2723 North Bogan Road in Buford

Requirements include applicants must be at least 16 years old, a U.S. citizen, and be able to read, write, and speak English. They must be a resident of Gwinnett or neighboring county (Barrow, Walton, DeKalb, Fulton, Rockdale, Hall, or Forsyth) or a Gwinnett County government employee, and must have access to a computer for required online training.
