Gwinnett is inviting the public to bring together a small group of neighbors, friends, family and colleagues to discuss the future of Gwinnett Place Mall 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Berkmar High School, 405 Pleasant Hill Rd. in Lilburn. Dinner will be provided and participants are encouraged to register.

The county’s Meetings-in-a-Box offer the community an opportunity to get and give input about the equitable redevelopment process for the Gwinnett Place Mall site in Duluth.

“For this particular project, we’re doing redevelopment differently. This will not be a top-down approach,” said Board Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson. “We are the most diverse county in the state of Georgia and it’s important to me and to our board that we involve our diverse stakeholders in driving this process.”

A Meetings-in-a-Box toolkit is available on ReclaimGwinnettPlaceMall.com. The kit contains a script and questions to help facilitate the discussion. Meetings should be no more than one hour and 15 minutes. Additional time is needed to plan and prepare for the meeting. Each group should have about eight to 12 participants and a designated notetaker.

Feedback from the Meetings-In-A-Box should be sent to ReclaimGwinnettPlaceMall.com by Friday.
