Duluth is actively seeking members of the public to serve on the city’s Citizen’s Budget Review Advisory Committee. Committee members from a cross section of the community provide helpful feedback and recommendations on ways the city can be more efficient and effective.
Duluth is set to begin its 10th collaboration with the committee on Feb. 17 for the FY2022 budget. All meetings are held at 6 p.m. in the Duluth City Hall Community Room, 3167 Main St. The first meeting establishes an overview of the city’s budget process and what the budget committee’s role will be in the process.
The second meeting on Feb. 24 involves a review of draft figures for the preliminary FY2022 budget, debt service commitments, city initiatives, as well as information relating to capital reserve funds.
The third meeting on March 3 is geared toward recommendations from the citizen’s committee, addressing any concerns with the budget and finally discussion of visionary opportunities for the city.
Information or to be a part of this committee contact Kim Jackson at kjackson@duluthga.net or 770-225-8827.
