As part of the 2021 Southern Hands Artist Studio Tour this fall, the Friends of the Fayette County Public Library group is inviting artists inspired by literature to submit works for a specially themed exhibit. The Art and Lit show seeks works in all mediums, including paintings, sculpture and jewelry, created by middle and high school students (ages 11-17) as well as adults (18 years old and up). The selected art will be on display 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 13 as part of a silent auction whose proceeds will benefit the library’s programs. The Friends group will provide the corresponding book for each work of art as part of the auction.

Interested artists must submit an application at www.ffcpl.org/art-and-literature by Oct. 2; applicants will be contacted by email within a week of submission. Questions should be directed to Michele Simpson at friends@ffcpl.org or 770-331-3510.
