Cobb County nominees for the 2021 Public Safety Awards will be presented at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce’s annual Public Safety Appreciation Breakfast on Oct. 4, kicking off the start of Public Safety Appreciation Week.

At the breakfast, the Public Safety Employee of the Year award and additional awards of Merit, Valor, Distinguished Achievement or Outstanding Community Contribution will be given.

The breakfast will be held 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Oct. 4, and registration will open soon.

Online registration and refunds will close at noon Sept. 29.

Walk-up admissions and at-door payment cannot be granted.

Appreciation Week gives the community the opportunity to show appreciation not only to the nominees but to all of the public safety personnel across Cobb County.

Business groups, community groups and students will make and deliver gift baskets, write thank-you letters to personnel, deliver catered food or snacks and put messages on their social media or marquees to celebrate and thank public safety agencies throughout Cobb and in Georgia.
