Thousands of needy families in Cobb County are expected to receive diapers during October, resulting from the 13th annual Cobb Diaper Day event. Since diapers can cost a family more than $100 each month, the goal is to collect 100,000 diapers this year. Donations can be made in person or online.

Virtual donations: Through Oct. 3, organizations, businesses and individuals are encouraged to donate by purchasing diapers through an Amazon wish list at amzn.to/2WggfjC.

In person: Diapers can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13 and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Cobb EMC Solar Flower Garden, 1000 EMC Parkway NE, Marietta.
