Cobb collecting diapers during October

During October, diaper donations will be accepted online or in person for the 13th annual Cobb Diaper Day event. In 2020 as a part of this event, the Kiwanis Club of Marietta held a diaper drive to help low-income families in Cobb. (Photo courtesy of The Barbara Hickey Cobb Children's Fund)
Thousands of needy families in Cobb County are expected to receive diapers during October, resulting from the 13th annual Cobb Diaper Day event. Since diapers can cost a family more than $100 each month, the goal is to collect 100,000 diapers this year. Donations can be made in person or online.
Virtual donations: Through Oct. 3, organizations, businesses and individuals are encouraged to donate by purchasing diapers through an Amazon wish list at amzn.to/2WggfjC.
In person: Diapers can be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13 and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Cobb EMC Solar Flower Garden, 1000 EMC Parkway NE, Marietta.
Diapers will be distributed to several organizations for distribution to families in need, including:
- Cobb Douglas Public Health Teen Pregnancy Program
- Communities in Schools of Georgia in Marietta/Cobb County
- LiveSafe Resources
- MUST Ministries
- Ser Familia
