Alabama did get a sack on Georgia’s first possession. Stetson Bennett was dropped for a 14-yard loss on the first play from scrimmage.

Georgia got five yards back when Alabama was called for a delay of gain for “disconcerting signals.” After a run by Bennett, who nearly fumbled, and a delay of gain penalty, Georgia faced a third-and-10. An incomplete pass followed and Georgia was forced to punt.
