California couple Carlee Leifkes and Lucas Unger just got engaged.
Unger popped the question on Halloween night in front of Leifkes' family and friends.
What's unique about the couple's love story is the ring Unger proposed to Leifkes with. Instead of a diamond, one of Unger's wisdom teeth sat clasped in the ring band.
"When we'd spoken about it, I'd said that diamonds are so overrated," Leifkes told BuzzFeed News. "My birthstone is a diamond. I don't need one to prove how much someone loves me. He'd already moved all the way from Canada to do that!"
The couple, who met at a music festival in Unger’s native Canada earlier this year, pride themselves on being nontraditional.
The two plan to get married in Las Vegas later this month.
“I’m going to have a cast, a wisdom tooth ring, a pink dress and Elvis is going to marry us,” said the bride-to-be, who recently broke her leg.
So incredibly excited to marry my best friend, the man who knows that his wisdom tooth means more to me than a diamond....
