“I moved to Georgia to obtain my master's degree in an accelerated one-year program. My intention was to return to New Jersey the following year, but I ended up falling for the Southern hospitality and lifestyle,” said Myra Wright, a telecommunications executive.

This September will mark 11 years since she bought her five-bedroom, 4,000-square-foot home in the Brown Mills subdivision in Lithonia.

"My style evolved over the years. There were specific heirlooms I wanted to use but didn’t know how to integrate them into my vision," said Wright, who recruited Barbara Elliott and Jennifer Ward Woods of Interiors by Decorating Den (www.decdens.com/belliot) to help her realize her vision. "My project this year is to expand my outside space and create another patio with a water feature and fire pit."

Wright added: “This is a very quiet, family-oriented community [that] also welcomes single executives such as myself. It has been wonderful to watch this community grow into a premier neighborhood.”
