Toward the end of “The Devil Wears Prada,” plucky Andrea “Andy” Sachs bids a brave and abrupt farewell to devilish diva Miranda Priestly, her boss and tormentor.

Ten years and countless hours of therapy later, Andy has struck out on her own. She and fellow Miranda slave turned BFF Emily have launched The Plunge, a high-end magazine about luxury celebrity weddings, and Andy is about to take the plunge herself, marrying the handsome heir to a prominent family-owned media company.

All’s perfect, right? Well, you’ll have to read “Revenge Wears Prada” to find out.

“She’s 10 years older. She’s in a totally different place,” said author Lauren Weisberger. But plenty of drama and twists ensue. (We won’t give away any details since the book doesn’t come out until June 4.)

We can tell you that Weisberger, also the author of “Everyone Worth Knowing,” “Chasing Harry Winston” and “Last Night at Chateau Marmont,” will be in Atlanta on June 12, just in time for summer beach-reading season.

“Enjoy is such an understatement,” Weisberger said, asked if she looks forward to book tours. “You write in a vacuum. The whole editing process is long and torturous. To actually go on tour and meet your readers is the best part.”

The phenomenal popularity of the original “Prada” surprised its author.

“I was absolutely shocked,” Weisberger said. “I was so young. I was just ecstatic that someone was publishing it.”

The best-seller inspired the movie by the same name, starring Anne Hathaway as Andy, Emily Blunt as Emily and a perfectly cast Meryl Streep as the icy Miranda. We had to ask Weisberger what she thought of Hathaway’s attention-getting Oscar-night Prada dress. Answer: “I am a huge Anne Hathaway fan. She looked spectacular.”

As for her own style, Weisberger was candid. “Clothes that can be puked on is where I am right now,” she quipped. “I have two young kids now.”
