Students in South Fulton have a new place to go when they need to access wireless internet for homework and other tasks.

Comcast recently opened its newest “Finish Strong Learning Pod Lift Zone” at Siloam Church International, 3695 Roosevelt Highway. The drop-in center is open from 2:30-7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Comcast began opening the centers, equipped with wireless hotspots, to serve students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is geared especially to those families in low-income neighborhoods who don’t have internet access at home.

The South Fulton center is open to students in third through eighth grade.
