Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking auto and diesel technicians for its vehicle fleet, including school buses.

The position is full time and offers health and retirement benefits, according to the school district’s newsletter, Communiqué.

Pay ranges from $17.90 to $29.90 per hour, depending on work or military experience and college credits.

Applicants must have a high school or equivalency diploma and a commercial driver’s license or permit. The school district provides training for other required endorsements, according to the newsletter.

The online application includes required work history and a reference from a supervisor. The fleet maintenance department will contact applicants who qualify for interviews.

The Gwinnett school district, like many others around the country, is struggling with shortages in some support positions such as paraprofessionals and substitute teachers.
