The fast-food dream of a cheesy crunch Gordita with a margarita chaser is just around the corner. Yum Brands, the parent company for Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC is asking for a liquor license for a new store in Chicago.
A Yum rep told The Chicago Tribune a re-do for the Wicker Park neighborhood store will be a "completely new urban restaurant design."
The Chicago location is set to debut this summer, and if rumors prove true, it would be the first Taco Bell location in the world to serve alcohol, according to Eater.
Reports say Yum needs to make the move to keep pace with Chipotle and Baja Fresh, who began offering hooch earlier.
