Atlanta-based Delta Community Credit Union has named a former senior airline executive as its interim chief executive.

Hank Halter, a former chief financial officer of Delta Air Lines, was announced Wednesday as Delta Community’s interim president and CEO as the credit union searches for a permanent replacement for the retired Rick Foley.

Foley retired on Monday from Delta Community after 26 years. He served as president and CEO since 2004.

Halter has been on Delta Community’s board for seven years. He served at Delta in a variety of executive roles from 1998 to 2012.
