Benefits and ideas flow in the fast-paced environment at this institutional investment company headquartered in Marietta. Its 210 Metro Atlanta employees — there are 346 total — receive plenty of perks, including free catered weekly lunches, complimentary drinks, snacks, candy and coffee, and the ability to dress casually at work. That’s in addition to free gym memberships, a “generous” educational tuition reimbursement, on-site dry cleaning and outings to go bowling, rafting and golfing. The company, which was selected as the most influential consultant database in the institutional investment industry by FundFire (a Financial Times organization), plans to add 30 jobs in 2016. Other benefits include a generously subsidized health plan options, company paid long- and short-term disability and basic life insurance for all full-time associates.

An emphasis is placed on mission trips and service projects at Wesleyan School, a Christian school in Peachtree Corners, which is in the top five for the second consecutive year. There are international mission trips planned for Bulgaria, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Panama and Nicaragua this year, in addition to mission work in Atlanta and Chattanooga, Tenn. Service projects include Lazarus Health Day, Operation Christmas Child and a walk to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The school’s 1,132 students enjoy an 85-acre campus that includes four gyms, three chapels, two libraries and two dining halls, and an 8-to-1 student to teacher ratio. The school’s theater department produces six plays/musicals every year.

This collective of independent and diversified financial services firms based in Atlanta, not only moved from the small workplaces to mid-size workplaces this year, it went from No. 15 in 2015 to the top five. There are 152 employees in the Atlanta area with 250 nationwide. Angel Oak works with several charities and organizations, including Desire Street Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Make-A-Wish.

The healthcare recruiting agency, which focuses on assisting physicians, CRNAs, NPs, PAs and psychologists find job opportunities, is headquartered in Alpharetta and has 349 employees in Metro Atlanta. Charitable work is a focus of LocumTenens.com, which was founded in 1995. Its employees volunteer at many local charities and the company supports Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Foster Care Support Foundation, Atlanta Children’s Shelter, Angels Among Us and Predisan. Also, essays are used to help choose employees who will accompany physicians on medical mission trips. Several are chosen to make these trips every year. Employee health is important at LocumTenens.com, which provides a free onsite wellness clinic for associates and family members, free fresh fruit and an onsite gym with personal training. It’s finished in the top five for three consecutive years.
