‘I, Tonya’

Set to be released in 2018, the movie "I, Tonya" tells the story of Tonya Harding, a figure skater who in 1994 pleaded guilty to hindering the investigation into an attack on fellow skater Nancy Kerrigan. She was stripped of her medals and banned from competitive skating in the U.S., and the investigation found that her ex-husband had hired a hit man to attack Kerrigan. Harding is played by Margot Robbie, who was also in "The Wolf of Wall Street."

What are they looking for?

Several roles are being filled:

  • TV SPORTSCASTER: Clean-shaven male who looks to be in his late 30s-early 50s. Should wear a maximum 44 size coat.
  • COURTROOM SPECTATORS: Men and women, over age 18, any ethnicity, to portray courtroom spectators
  • LAWYERS: Men and women who have business attire and appear to be in their late 30s-early 50s to portray lawyers
  • SHERIFFS: Men who look to be in their late 30s-early 50s to portray sheriffs
  • PRESS: Men and women who appear to be in their early 20s-early 50s to portray journalists
  • TECHS: Men and women who appear to be in their late 20s-early 30s. Men must be clean shaven and wear a maximum size 44 coat. Women should wear a maximum dress size of 8.
  • LEGAL STENOGRAPHER: A legal stenographer – male or female, any ethnicity - with real courtroom experience is needed.

Everyone submitting should be over 18 years of age.

When are they filming?

Filming is in the Atlanta area on Feb. 23-24. Sportscaster and techs will film on Feb. 23, and courtroom spectators, lawyers, sheriffs, members of the press and legal stenographers will film on Feb. 24. Stenographers will also have to attend a paid wardrobe fitting in Smyrna on Feb. 23.

How much does it pay?

All roles pay $93 for 10 hours of work. The fitting rate for the stenographers’ role is $25.23 for two hours.
