Airport to get Southern Living newsstand

June 25, 2009

The first Southern Living Magazine branded newsstand will open at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on July 13.

It's part of a major retail makeover at the airport that started last year.

The 600-square-foot store will be near Gate B20, in a high-traffic spot that sees up to 250,000 passengers a day.

The store, a partnership with airport concessionaire HMSHost, will sell typical newsstand items, from books to magazines to candy and beverages. It also has a special agreement to sell Brookstone travel gear.

Southern Living's editor in chief, Eleanor Griffin, said Atlanta is "an important market" for the magazine.
