This weekend, we told you about the race for chairman of the state Republican party, and the two different visions that incumbent John Padgett and challenger Alex Johnson of DeKalb County of what the GOP should be.

Erick Erickson, the WSB Radio provocateur, has now weighed in. Click here to experience his colorful imagery in its entirety. Suffice it to say that Erickson expresses concern of how monied interests are taking control of the Republican agenda. A taste:

Even the alcohol distributors, after giving large sums of money to legislators, were able to effectively gut the beer jobs bill.

Alex Johnson, candidate for Georgia GOP chairman.

Georgia's Republicans listen to anyone with a big enough checkbook and Republicans in the state need someone who will actually listen to them without having to write checks.

As a result, I have decided to support Alex Johnson for Georgia Republican Party Chairman. The leadership of our party has more and more shown it prefers its base to write checks, show up on Election Day, and otherwise shut the hell up.

(Sounds like someone got up on the wrong side of Citizens United this morning.)
