Oregon mocks FSU with chop, Winston with 'No means no' chant

PASADENA, Calif. -- Oregon was billed as the "nice" team in this perceived "Good vs. Evil" match-up in Thursday's Rose Bowl against Florida State -- obviously an overstated media narrative. But at least a few of the Ducks' players weren't above mocking the Seminoles and Jameis Winston following a 59-20 win.

As confetti fell on the victory podium, three Oregon players, including running back Kani Benoit and linebacker Christian French, could be seen and heard doing Florida State's "Tomahawk Chop." They also chanted, "No means no," an obvious reference to the rape allegations against Winston, the FSU quarterback.

Winston never was charged but the alleged incident has drawn national attention because of perceptions that local law enforcement in Tallahassee bungled the investigation.

Oregon coach Mark Helfrich released a statement to the Associated Press, saying, "We are aware of the inappropriate behavior in the postgame. This is not what our programs stand for, and the student-athletes will be disciplined internally."
