West Forsyth promoted offensive coordinator Adam Clack to head coach on Monday.

Clack will replace Frank Hepler, who started the program in 2007 and reached the playoffs each of the past four seasons.

Clack also has coached at Southeast Bulloch and South Forsyth. Clack was with Hepler’s staff from the start and became offensive coordinator in 2011, when the Wolverines had their best season, an 11-2 finish. West Forsyth won Region 6-AAAAAA in 2012 while averaging more than 40 points per game.

Hepler left to take an assistant coaching position in his native Florida.

Spring practice begins Tuesday for West Forsyth.
