In Class 7A, the stronger regions dominated the first round and have left the Round of 16 teams filled with contenders. Region 3, 4, 6 and 7 each sent three teams into the second round, while Region 1, 2, 5 and 8 are left with just one team apiece in the next round. All eight No. 1 seeds advanced, which means that home teams were 12-4 in the first round. No. 3 seeds Mill Creek, Marietta, Roswell and Meadowcreek pulled off road victories. The playoffs resume for all seven classifications on Wednesday, May 3 and there will be plenty of premiere matchups taking place in Class 7A. Collins Hill will visit Walton in a top 10 showdown and Mill Creek, which is fresh off a 5-0 road win over Rockdale County, will take on top-seeded Pebblebrook.
