Tyler LaFlamme doesn't have a scholarship offer. In fact, no college football coach has ever called or e-mailed the senior from South Forsyth.

Maybe that will change after LaFlamme (pronounced "la flame") rushed for 435 yards in South Forsyth's 42-34 victory over Chattahoochee on Friday. That's the fourth-highest single-game rushing total in state history, according to the Georgia High School Football Historians Association. The record is 476 yards by Miller County's Don Calloway in 1999.

"I have a feeling recruiting will pick up," South Forsyth assistant coach Trevor Williams said. "Good mix of size and speed."

Williams coaches the secondary, where LaFlamme (5 feet 10 inches and 193 pounds) has started since he was a freshman. It was only last season that he moved to running back, playing the position for the first time since the sixth grade, but was behind senior Isaiah Williams, who signed with Army.

South Forsyth is 4-1 overall, 4-0 in Region 6-AAAAAA, and plays Northview (5-0, 4-0) in its next game on Oct. 10. LaFlamme has 985 yards rushing on the season.

Here are some of the best individual efforts from last week.
