Last meeting: Carver won 36-0 in 2014.

Carver leads the series 15-14 but is 12-1 against the Blue Devils since 1985 and has won the past five meetings by at least 34 points. Columbus is 4-0 for the first time since 1974, and its four victories are the most since 2005. 2. DB/RB Essang Bassey (committed to Wake Forest) has done a bit of everything for Columbus. He has 205 yards rushing on 20 carries (10.3 ypc) and 190 yards and three TDs on six receptions. Defensively, he has had only three balls thrown his way (with one completion for 6 yards), and he returned a fumble 30 yards for a score in a 21-14 win over Marion County last week. 3. After opening the season with two close victories and a lopsided loss, Carver got things rolling in a 48-10 victory over Troup last week. QB Jawon Pass (committed to Louisville) passed for 238 yards and a touchdown and ran for 42 yards and three scores on five carries. Pass is the No. 4 dual-threat quarterback nationally in the 247Sports composite rankings.
