Class AAAAA boys at Bartram Trail: Defending state champion Cambridge won't be easy to dislodge. The Bears have won four tournaments and finished second in four others. Five players return from last year's state championship team, including Brad Plaziak, Austin Redick, Andrew Ackerman and Sutton Dunwoodie. Two-time state champion Hunter Dunagan,a College of Charleston signee, leads Lakeside Evans, which came up two shots short last year. Gainesville, led by Georgia commitment Spencer Ralston, is always a threat.

Class AAAAA girls at Westlake Golf Club: The wide open field is led by Lakeside Evans, which features Armstrong State signee Megan Sabol, who was second a year ago. Defending champion Ware County lost medalist Megan Carter to graduation, but returns region medalist Sutton Rollins. Dalton and Glynn Academy are other top contenders.

Class AAAA boys at Jones Creek Golf Club: Andrew Lafferty, the Region 6 medalist, and Will Chandler lead another loaded Marist team out to defend its championship. Woodward Academy, LaFayette and North Oconee could also contend.

Class AAAA girls at Waynesboro Country Club: Defending champion North Oconee failed to win its region championship and isn't the pre-tournament favorite. The field appears to be wide open, with Buford, Woodward Academy, Marist and Burke County as the teams to watch. Woodward's Ayanna Habeel, Marist's Woo Wade and Rylie Marchman of Burke County are some of the top individuals.

Class AAA boys at Gordon Lakes: Westminster, behind medalist Keller Harper, is the favorite in this classification after the Wildcats took down defending state champion Blessed Trinity in the region tournament. Other top teams should be Pierce County and Oconee County, led by Georgia College signee Ben Huckaby.

Class AAA girls at Pointe South Golf Club: Defending state champion Calhoun is again the team to beat. Returning starters Katie Rose Rawls and Kate Mashburn lead the Yellow Jackets. Oconee County, behind Jessica Ingram, should also be in the mix.

Class AA boys at Belle Mead Golf Club: The group of favorites looks similar to that of a year ago, which was won by Lovett. The Lions are joined dethroned in the region championship by Greater Atlanta Christian and N.C. State signee Ben Shipp. Benedictine, Vidalia and Gordon Lee could be factors.

Class AA girls at Applewood Golf Club: West Georgia signee Layne Carter, medalist a year ago, leads Vidalia is pursuit of another championship. But Wesleyan, led by Alissa Yang, has played as well as anyone and shot 147 at the region meet. Karson Stone leads Thomasville, a contender from the south.

Class A Private  boys at Forest Hills Golf Club: Brookstone and Mount Paran Christian are the favorites in this competitive division. Brookstone has played a difficult schedule and has plenty of depth, led by area medalist Evans Copeland. Mount Paran, led by area medalist Connor Rostowsky, came within two shots of taking the title a year ago.

Class A Private girls at Forest Hills Golf Club: Galloway posted a 149 in winning its area by 36 shots, with senior Amanda Doherty shooting a 67 at the area meet. Other teams to watch include Stratford Academy, First Presbyterian and Our Lady of Mercy.

Class A Public  boys at Goshen Plantation: Defending champion Trion is the favorite to repeat. Dawson Day, the Area 3 medalist, was second in the state meet a year ago. Charlton County and Towns County could also get in the mix.

Class A Public  girls at Goshen Plantation: Portal and Schley County are the favorites to dethrone Towns County. Portal's Faith Reddick and Schley's Haley Sellars are among the top individuals.
