How the game was won: Peachtree Ridge used its dominant defense to take control of the game early before holding off visiting Collins Hill. The Lions scored the game's first 21 points and led 21-0 until midway through the third quarter, when Collins Hill briefly made things interesting. Two-way standout Nigel Warrior eventually put the contest out of reach for Peachtree Ridge with a late touchdown run.
Top performers: Warrior got the job done on both sides of the ball for the Lions. He picked off a pass in the first half and scored on rushes of 30 and 50 yards in the second half. ... Peachtree Ridge's first two scores came on a 16-yard scamper by Malik Staples and a 64-yard pass from Fred Payton to Christian Sutton. ... The Eagles scored both of their touchdowns on passes by Drew Dinsmore. He hit Canyon Slade from 24 yards out and Codi Russell for a 30-yarder.
