Northgate 44, Shaw 0

How the game was won: Northgate built a huge first half lead in a dismantling home victory. They also played Shaw in the season opener beating them 44-0 as well. Running backs Kyle Kater and Ton Evans each scored a first quarter touchdown before sitting out the second half.

Top performers: Evans finished with 12 rushes for 123 yards and two touchdowns (49 and 21 yards) to lead the lead on the ground. …Kater had 55 yards on 13 rushes and touchdown runs of 48 and one yard. …Quarterback Kyle McLaren went 4-of-6 passing for 55 yards and two touchdowns. His first went for eight yards to Chris Aje, and his second was a 24-yard touchdown throw to Isaiah Prayor. …The Northgate defense allowed Shaw to cross the 50 yard line only once in the entire game.
