All of this week's ranked teams either won or enjoyed a bye, except for No. 8 Model, which lost 28-22 to No. 6 Darlington. The loss could possibly knock the Blue Devils out of the rankings, but they may stick around given the game was close and against another ranked team.
No. 4 Wesleyan, coming off a win over then No. 4 Pace Academy, barely survived at Hapeville Charter, escaping with a 13-7 win. The Wolves' struggles may cause them to slide a spot or two in the rankings, given that No. 5 Rabun County cruised to a 44-0 win over Social Circle, and No. 6 Darlington beat a quality opponent.
Benedictine, Fitzgerald and GAC - ranked 1-3, respectively - each coasted to big wins while surrendering just 14 points.
No. 7 Pace Academy enjoyed a bye after its loss to Wesleyan and before it's next big matchup with GAC.
No. 9 Jefferson County - the only two-loss team in the rankings - beat formerly-ranked Dublin 20-13. No. 10 Union County looks to stick around in the top 10 with its convincing 41-6 win over Oglethorpe County.
