How the game was won: Locust Grove quarterback Cameron Maddox broke a 14-14 halftime score with a pair of 5-yard rushing touchdowns to take a 28-14 lead. After Eagles Landing cut the lead to 28-21, they turned the ball over on downs on their final drive.
Top performers: Maddox was 13-of-16 passing for 150 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 43 yards and had three scores. …East Carolina-commit Aubry Payne had six catches for 92 yards at the tight end position. He scored on a 42-yard reception for Locust Grove.
