Last week: Beat Grayson 27-17. Dacula trailed 14-7 at halftime but forced five turnovers in the second half, the biggest a fumble at the Grayson 22 with Dacula trailing 17-13. Giovanni Lugo threw a 20-yard TD pass to Johnathan Grant for a 20-17 lead. LB Lawson Cook then returned an interception 38 yards for a 10-point lead. Next: Friday at Archer (5-3)

3. (2) Grayson (8-1)

Last week: Lost to Dacula 27-17. Camryn Brent rushed for 130 yards, and his team led in total yardage 273-171, but Grayson collapsed under the weight of five second-half turnovers, including an interception that was returned for a touchdown, and failed to hold a 17-13 lead in the final minutes. Next: Friday vs. Brookwood (2-6)

4. (6) Lee County (6-1)

Last week: Beat Woodstock 30-13. Milton held Woodstock to minus-8 yards rushing, thanks largely to seven sacks. DE Mike Collins had 3.5 sacks and five tackles for losses. Austin McLeod was 8-of-13 passing for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Pope (2-6)

7. (10) North Gwinnett (6-2)

Last week: Beat Duluth 71-24. John Urzua was 18-of-27 passing for 399 yards and seven touchdowns - five to Joshua Imatorbhebhe, who had six catches for 206 yards. It was the second seven-TD passing game for Urzua, who did it previously in the opener against McEachern. Next Friday vs. Meadowcreek (1-7)

8. (9) McEachern (6-2)

Last week: Beat Kennesaw Mountain 40-14. Sam Jackson rushed for 189 yards and scored on runs of 52, 48 and 15 yards as McEachern beat Kennesaw Mountain for the sixth consecutive time and took sole possession of the lead in Region 4 with a 4-0 record. Next: Friday vs. Harrison (5-3)

9. (NR) Peachtree Ridge (6-2)

Last week: Beat Norcross 35-2. Na'Ceem Antenor rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries, and Chance Thrasher was 14-of-22 passing for 210 yards and two touchdowns, one a 76-yarder to Connor Heyward. Peachtree Ridge forced four turnovers. It was the first region loss for Norcross, which entered ranked fifth, and caused a four-way tie for first place in Region 7. 10. (NR) Tucker (6-2)

Last week: Beat Alcovy 55-0. Delvin Weems rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries, and Garrett Rigby was 5-of-7 passing for 101 yards and three TDs. Tucker scored on its first five possessions and exceeded 50 points for the sixth consecutive game, setting up this week's contest with Lovejoy to decide the Region 2 championship. Next: Friday at Lovejoy (6-2)

Class AAAAA

1. (1) Ware County (8-0)

Last week: Beat Statesboro 40-7. Ware County led 28-0, and six players scored touchdowns, including Jarvis Belcher, who had a team-high 107 yards rushing on nine carries. His touchdown covered 66 yards. Ware can clinch Region 3 with a victory this week. Next: Friday vs. South Effingham (4-4)

2. (2) Coffee (7-1)

Last week: Off. Next: Friday at Richmond Hill (2-6)

3. (3) Kell (8-0)

Last week: Beat North Atlanta 35-7. Ivan Walls rushed for 246 yards on 23 carries and scored four touchdowns, one on a 58-yard run. Kell led only 14-7 at halftime. This week's game is for a subregion title in Region 7. Next Friday vs. Sprayberry (6-2)

4. (4) Allatoona (9-0)

Last week: Beat Paulding County 48-20. Allatoona clinched Region 5 (the team's first region title since 2011). Russell Halimon rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries, and Conner Larson was 12-of-17 passing for 242 yards and four touchdowns. Joshua Bettistea had three catches (all touchdowns) for 146 yards. Next: Nov. 7 vs. Chapel Hill (0-8)

5. (6) Lanier (8-0)

Last week: Beat Salem 42-35. Lanier trailed 28-14 at halftime, but Tahj Tolbert (11-of-20 passing, 178 yards) threw four TD passes in the second half, three to Timothy Leazer, for a 42-28 lead in the fourth quarter. Tario Fuller rushed for 151 yards. Lanier will be the Region 8 champion by winning this week, or next against Apalachee (0-8). Next: Friday vs. Winder-Barrow (5-3)

6. (7) Carver-Atlanta (6-1)

Last week: Carver trailed Mays 27-14 with 9:46 left when the game was suspended because of a shooting outside of Lakewood Stadium. The game will resume today at 6 p.m. at Grady Stadium, with Mays holding a first down at the Carver 11-yard line. Next: Friday at Banneker (0-8)

7. (8) Creekside (7-2)

Last week: Beat Banneker 38-6. Creekside had more than 500 yards in total offense. Felix Harper was 12-of-16 passing for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Creekside is expected to be the Division B winner of Region 6 in the event of an anticipated three-way tie with Mays and Carver of Atlanta. Next: Nov. 7 region playoff.

8. (9) Stephenson (6-2)

Last week: Beat M.L. King 33-7. M.L. King was held to 169 yards in total offense. Khalil Ladler, Steven Roberts and Chauncey Rivers intercepted passes. Stephenson's leading rushers were Ivonte Patterson (14 carries, 93 yards, two touchdowns) and Cortese Logan (12-90-1). Next: Friday vs. Southwest DeKalb (6-2)

9. (10) Northside-Warner Robins (7-1)

Last week: Beat Grovetown 49-14. Willie Jordan rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Northside forced three turnovers and survived four. Next: Friday at Cross Creek (1-7)

10. (NR) Harris County (6-2)

Last week: Beat Carver-Columbus 34-14. Harris County ended Carver's 53-game winning streak in region games and won a game that wasn't as close as the score. Harris County held Carver to 22 yards rushing and led 20-6 at halftime, 34-6 entering the fourth. Tae Crowder rushed for 167 yards on 23 carries. Harris can clinch Region 1 with a victory this week. Class AAAA

1. (1) Buford (8-0)

Last week: Beat North Oconee 58-3. Buford forced three early turnovers and led 37-0 in the first half. David Curry returned a punt for a touchdown early in the second half. Buford held all-state RB Kawon Bryant to 27 yards on 13 carries. Next: Friday vs. Madison County (5-3)

2. (3) Griffin (8-0)

Last week: Beat Pike County 57-7. Anforne Stroud passed for 188 yards and a career-high four touchdowns, two to Keyston Fuller, who also scored on a 13-yard run. Malik Miller rushed for 122 yards. Next: Friday vs. Riverdale (3-5)

3. (6) Woodward Academy (7-1)

Last week: Beat Sandy Creek 28-7. Elijah Holyfield was held to 68 yards on 20 carries, but Woodward was outstanding on defense, the first team to hold Sandy Creek to less than 20 points since Carrollton in the 2010 Class AAA title game (Sandy Creek beat Carrollton 14-7.) Freshman LB K.J. Phillips had a team-leading 10 tackles, one a sack. Woodward has its highest AJC ranking since 1985. Next: Friday vs. Whitewater (5-3)

4. (4) Cartersville (7-1)

Last week: Beat Southeast Whitfield 48-0. Cartersville led 41-0 at halftime, sparking a running clock. Trevor Lawrence was 12-of-16 passing for 226 yards in two quarters. Next: Friday at LaFayette (2-6)

5. (7) Marist (8-1)

Last week: Beat Columbia 41-0. Ian Gipson rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Griffin King had 96 yards from scrimmage on 11 touches and scored touchdowns rushing and receiving. Next: Nov. 7 at Chamblee (1-7)

6. (2) Sandy Creek (7-1)

Last week: Lost to Woodward Academy 28-7. Sandy Creek's 44-game winning streak in games that count in the region standings ended. Sandy Creek last failed to win a region title in 2008. Next: Friday at Carrollton (4-4)

7. (8) St. Pius (6-2)

Last week: Beat Arabia Mountain 70-38. St. Pius rushed for 527 yards and didn't attempt a pass in a game of exactly 1,000 yards of combined total offense. Joey Connors rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Ransom Klinger ran for 136 and three on five. Next: Friday vs. Stone Mountain (0-8)

8. (9) Mary Persons (7-1)

Last week: Beat Veterans 31-0. Dee High rushed for 200 yards on 29 carries, and Mary Persons posted its third shutout in four region games. Next: Friday at Baldwin (5-3)

9. (10) Thomas County Central (6-2)

Last week: Beat Crisp County 38-0. Thomas Central led 24-0 at halftime after a goal-line stand that kept Crisp out of the end zone on four tries from the 1-yard line. Nick Patterson rushed for 108 yards on 20 carries. Next: Friday at Worth County (5-2)

10. (5) Cairo (6-2)

Last week: Lost to Monroe 21-14. Cairo took a 14-7 lead with 5:15 left in the third quarter, but Monroe's Carter Christian returned the kickoff 98 yards for a score. Cornelius Jenkins later returned an interception 29 yards for a score. Cairo didn't make it past midfield after that. Next: Friday vs. Albany (0-7)

1. (1) Washington County (8-0)

Last week: Beat Josey 73-6. Washington County broke 70 points for the second time this season. Glenn Hills fell 71-0 last month. Next: Friday vs. Hephzibah (5-3)

2. (2) Calhoun (8-0)

Last week: Beat Murray County 56-3. Kaelan Riley was 18-of-22 passing for 219 yards and a touchdown, and Cole Jackson had four catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Neither played the second half. Next: Friday at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (3-6)

Last week: Beat Holy Innocents' 38-0. GAC held Holy Innocents' to four first downs and less than 75 yards in total offense. Davis Mills threw a 47-yard TD pass to Darius Slayton, who also returned an interception 75 yards for a touchdown. Next: Friday at Lovett (7-2)

2. (2) Vidalia (8-0)

Last week: Beat Bacon County 56-27. Keshawn Williams returned a Bacon fumble 27 yards for a touchdown 28 seconds into the game, and Shon Jones returned a kickoff 85 yards for 21-7 lead after Bacon's first touchdown. QB Jordan Black rushed for 89 yards and scored three touchdowns on eight carries. Next: Friday at Jeff Davis (4-4)

3. (3) Lovett (7-2)

Last week: Beat Wesleyan 30-24. Lovett led only 24-18 until Willie Candler's 2-yard run with 2:24 left at the end of a 76-yard drive. Wesleyan had 246 yards rushing (168 by Jordan Argilag) and 237 passing by Banks Ramsey. Nathan Offutt intercepted a pass at the Lovett 2-yard line in the second quarter, and Eli Mercer tackled Ramsey for a 3-yard loss on a fourth-and-1 in the fourth. 3. Mount Paran Christian (8-0)

Last week: Beat Trion 42-0. Emoni Williams scored on a 57-yard reception, an 81-yard kickoff return and a 69-yard run for Mount Paran, which outgained Trion 264-207 despite having the ball for just 11:08 and running 20 offensive plays. Last week: Beat Schley County 28-2. Hawkinsville trailed 8-7 at halftime but pulled away in the second half and held Schley to 140 yards in total offense. Last week: Beat Telfair County 34-20. Freshman RB Eric Daniels rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns while Curt Nixon added a TD run. 9. (10) Savannah Christian (7-1)

Last week: Beat Portal 24-14. Demetris Robertson, declared eligible by the GHSA days earlier, had three catches for 49 yards and a touchdown. Robertson, a five-star recruit who has committed to Alabama, transferred from Savannah Country Day and endured weeks of uncertainty over his status as the GHSA debated whether he had made a bona-fide move, and then whether he deserved a hardship appeal. 10. (NR) Clinch County (5-3)

Last week: Beat Lanier County 59-26. Clinch County had 570 yards rushing, led by sophomore Shannon Young's 101, and led 33-0 at halftime. Next: Friday at Charlton County (7-1)
