Last week: Beat Cambridge 28-27. Kell scored on a 40-yard pass from Cameron Rosendahl to Ivan Walls as time expired. Walls kept his feet in the end zone as he fell backward. Kell's Josh Blancato returned a kickoff 97 yards for a 22-21 lead in the third quarter. Next: Friday at North Springs (0-4)

Last week: Beat Lovejoy 40-35. Mays trailed 14-0, but the game turned on an interception by Ferlando Jordan, who returned it to the 3-yard line, setting up the first of six Mays touchdowns. Mays senior Asahnia Aderhold, back from an injury, threw five touchdown passes, three to Julius Whitehead and two to Tyshawn Brown. Next: Friday at Creekside (4-1)

7. (6) Northside-Warner Robins (4-1)

Last week: Beat Greenbrier 55-0. QB Tobias Oliver had 204 yards passing by halftime, when Northside led 49-0. Greenbrier was held to minus-3 yards rushing. Friday at Richmond Academy (1-3-1)

Last week: Beat South Paulding 33-13. Allatoona took advantage of two fumbled kickoff returns by South Paulding to build a 17-0 first-quarter lead. Last week: Beat Auburn, Ala. 24-17. Brian Miller intercepted a pass at the Sandy Creek 8-yard line in the final minutes to clinch the victory. Sandy Creek had gambled and failed to execute a fourth-and-1 as its 39 with 2:50 left. Eric Swinney rushed for 108 yards and became Sandy Creek's all-time leading rusher (3,603), breaking the record of Philip Hyde. Next: Oct. 10 vs. Whitewater (3-1)

3. (3) Griffin (5-0)

Last week: Beat Jonesboro 34-6. Griffin made two goal-line stands and intercepted three passes (Anforne Stroud, Jaylen Harden, Armon Holston). Stroud was 18-of-34 passing for 290 yards and three touchdowns. Malik Miller rushed for 159 yards on 25 carries. Next: Oct. 10 at Mount Zion, Jonesboro (0-4)

Last week: Beat Gilmer 52-27. Cartersville had 354 yards passing - 204 by freshman Trevor Lawrence and 150 by junior Miller Forristall. Terrius Callahan had seven catches for 198 yards. It was Gilmer's first loss. Next: Friday vs. Heritage-Ringgold (2-2)

Last week: Beat Americus-Sumter 33-12. Thomas Central won a game that it led 20-12 when postponed by weather two weeks ago. Next: Friday at Monroe (3-2)

Last week: Beat Eagle's Landing Christian 27-7. Jes Sutherland was 10-of-14 passing for 114 yards and two touchdowns, one to Elijah Holyfield, who rushed for 100 yards. DB Arrington Farrar had 10 tackles. Next: Oct. 10 vs. Troup (3-2)

1. (1) Washington County (5-0)

Last week: Beat Glenn Hills 71-0. Washington County beat the first of six consecutive Richmond County opponents, against which it has won 31 of its last 32. The 71 points were the most for the Golden Hawks since a 71-14 win over Richmond Academy in 2008. Next: Friday at Laney (2-2)

2. (2) Calhoun (5-0)

Last week: Beat Ringgold 27-13. Calhoun trailed 10-7 at halftime and lost four fumbles but took charge in the second half and finished with 413 total yards. It was the first meeting between the Northwest Georgia schools, which are 33 miles apart along I-75, since 1985. Next: Friday vs. Adairsville (4-0)

3. (3) Blessed Trinity (5-0)

Last week: Beat Douglass 45-7. Blessed Trinity is 5-0 for the first time since starting varsity football in 2001. The Titans' previous best start was 4-0 in 2008. Next: Oct. 10 vs. Therrell (2-3)

4. (4) Jefferson (5-0)

Last week: Beat Jackson County 34-7. Evan Shirreffs passed for 212 yards, and Sammy Williams rushed for 143 and three touchdowns. Jefferson is 7-0 all-time against Jackson County. Next: Friday vs. Elbert County (3-2)

Last week: Beat Landmark Christian 21-7. Central pulled away from a 7-7 halftime tie and had 281 yards rushing, led by Kyle Terrell's 87 on eight carries. Last week: Beat B.E.S.T. Academy 58-28. GAC scored three consecutive touchdowns in the third quarter, one a 47-yard interception return by Berkley Boglin, to break open what had been a 34-22 game at halftime. B.E.S.T.'s Deshawn Waller rushed for 183 yards and scored four touchdowns, one on a 30-yard pass. Next: Friday vs. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate (1-4)

2. (2) Fitzgerald (5-0)

Last week: Beat Early County 34-20. J.D. King rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries for Fitzgerald, which completed only two passes in 11 attempts, but one went 73 yards to Trey Graham for a touchdown. QB Gerald Morgan, the state's leading rusher at his position, was held to 81 yards on 19 carries but scored two touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Thomasville (2-3)

Last week: Beat Groves 38-0. Nate McBride rushed for 103 yards on three carries and scored on a 65-yard run and a 31-yard interception return. Next: Friday at Long County (1-3)

Last week: Beat KIPP Atlanta Collegiate 42-6. Willie Candler (7-of-10 passing, 109 yards) threw three TD passes in the first three minutes, and Lovett had a 35-0 lead by early in the second half. Last week: Beat Pelham 20-0. Pelham was held to 78 yards in total offense. Ahmad Brown rushed for 145 yards on 13 carries, and Devon Wimms ran for 104 on seven. Devon Wimms threw TD passes of 29 and 31 yards to Xavier Medlock, who had five catches for 127 yards. Next: Friday vs. Berrien (2-2)

Last week: Beat Gordon Lee 25-14. Darlington took a 19-14 lead with five minutes left in the third quarter. Trey Edge rushed for 207 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries and was named homecoming king at halftime. Next: Friday at Model (5-0)

9. (NR) Screven County (5-0)

Last week: Beat Jefferson County 12-7. Jefferson County scored a touchdown on its first drive of the game, but Screven scored its 12 points in the fourth quarter to win it. Screven's first touchdown came on a fourth-and-goal pass from the 5-yard line. Malik Prescott, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, scored the game-winner, a 3-yard run. Last week: Beat Schley County 34-13. Lorenzo Smothers rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown, had four catches for 61 yards and ran a punt 70 yards for a touchdown. 3. (4) Mount Paran Christian (5-0)

Last week: Beat Turner County 48-21. Andrew Lee rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries in one half of work as Charlton took a 41-6 lead. QB Jimmy Nettles was 14-of-17 passing for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman RB Eric Daniels scored the lone second-half touchdown. Next: Friday at Irwin County (3-1-1)

Last week: Beat Central-Talbotton 36-8. Hawkinsville held Central to 66 yards in total offense and used 12 ball carriers, none with more than Reginald McDonald's 78 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. Next: Friday at Greenville (3-1)

7. (7) Savannah Christian (5-0)

Last week: Beat Montgomery County 21-14. The difference was a partially blocked punt that Nick Bateman recovered near Montgomery's end zone and scored. Next: Oct. 10 at Calvary Day (4-0)

Last week: Lost to Central-Carrollton 21-7. Landmark became the first team to score seven points on Central but hurt itself with an interception that set up Central's first score and lost fumble deep in Central's territory. Next: Friday at Rockmart (1-3)

Last week: Beat Telfair County 48-21. Irwin led 41-0 against a previously unbeaten team and beat Telfair for the ninth consecutive time. Next: Friday vs. Charlton County (5-0)

Last week: Beat Pacelli 28-21. QB Jerome Pressley's 3-yard TD run with 1:27 left broke a 21-21 tie. Pacelli, which entered 4-0, led 7-0 until Pressley scored on a 30-yard run midway in the third quarter. Next: Oct. 10 at Hawkinsville (5-0)
