GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Rob Ridings, Thomson

1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "In 2010, I was the head coach at Glynn Academy in Brunswick. We were 7-3 during the regular season and played Lovejoy High School in the first round of the state playoffs in Clayton County. Lovejoy was 10-0 and ranked in the top five of the state in AAAAA football. Their offense was for most games unstoppable, and their defense completely shut out their opponents. My Glynn Academy football team defeated Lovejoy at Twelve Oaks by the score of 7-6. We scored first to make it 7-0; Lovejoy scored, and we blocked the PAT. We are now up 7-6 late in the fourth quarter. Lovejoy is driving to win the football game and we make a big play and force them to kick a field goal, and we blocked the field goal with minutes to go in the game. Needless to say, this was one of our biggest wins in Glynn Academy history. The very next week we traveled back to the Atlanta area to play Dutchtown and lost 3-0. We finished the 2010 season with an 8-4 record and one huge win against an undefeated Lovejoy team."

2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "I have three sons, Andrew, Davis and Mills, and the three coaches I would choose for my sons are Mike Earwood, Roger Holmes and Ed Dudley. All three of these coaches are outstanding men, coaches, fathers and leaders. I am glad that I have the opportunity to coach my sons. It's a father's thrill to coach and mentor his sons, but If I could not coach them, Coach Earwood, Coach Holmes and Coach Dudley would be great father figures for my sons."

3. What is your favorite saying/motto? "Don't walk on my field, and don't be late for practice, school or a meeting."

4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "I would like to see Georgia High School reinstate the spring practice games with another school. In my opinion, spring practice is too valuable to lose to an extra scrimmage game in the fall. By having a spring scrimmage, it would give the players something to look forward to after nine days of practice. It would also help produce some spring revenue for our budgets."
